“See The Kingdom Fisrt Before Seeking To Enter In!”(Jn. 3:1-8).
During Nicodemus’ nocturnal visit to Jesus, he said, “Rabbi, we know you are a teacher who has come from God. For no-one could perform the miraculous signs you are doing if God were not with him.”
We can only determine the depth of our emptiness when we get to the self-realization that despite who we are, we are nothing until the scales fall off our eyes to reveal the Sonship of Christ beyond his humanity. Nicodemus was a Pharisee, a teacher of the law, but he did not know fully what it takes to be in the realm of God.
All his religion taught him was partial revelation. Christ is himself the full and perfect revelation of God and beyond him there is no other.
Jesus told Nicodemus, “I tell you the truth, no-one can see the kingdom of heaven unless he is born again.” Nicodemus did not understand how this is possible.
Jesus explained to him that “no-one can enter the kingdom of God unless he is born of water and the Spirit…You must be born again…”
Sometimes we move blindly with our sights limited to what is visual and we go about with satisfaction that we know Christ when we have not even seen the kingdom, talk less entering into it.
When we are born of water we become members o f the body of Christ, and when we are born of the Spirit we become members of the kingdom. Those who belong to the kingdom of God have tasted the goodness of God and the fullness of his love. This love is what they now radiate to others through the virtues that build us a kingdom people. As such, even if a nation has not yet been converted to Christ, the converted community within it has a rippling effect that impacts on the nation.
We may not convert the whole nation, but when the gospel influences the institutions that make up a nation then the effects of the Spirit of God is blowing where it pleases and making the presence of Christ known.
As the Spirit blow, may he fill us with spiritual blessings that would grow us into loving Christian communities impacting our nations and transforming her institutions for Christ!
Prayer: Holy Spirit of God blows on us and our land. Constantly teach us to preach and teach the gospel in our communities so that its rippling effects may be testimony of seeing the kingdom of God and our confidence of one day entering into it. Amen!
Have a blessed day! Peace be with you!
