“Ascension Response: Worship, Filled With Joy And Continual Praise!”(Lk.24:50-53).
The synoptic gospels all conclude with the ascension of the Lord Jesus Christ into heaven.
According to Luke Jesus’ last action to his disciples was, “he lifted up his hands and blessed them. While he was blessing them, he left them and was taken up into heaven.”
Whoever seeks the face of God, whoever believes in the blood of the lamb and whoever stands in the presence of the Most High does not leave without his blessing.
When the apostles received the blessing, “they worshipped him and returned to Jerusalem with great joy. And they stayed continually at the temple, praising God.”
We too have just received the ascension blessing. Let us devote time in worship, let us be filled with great joy and let us praise God continually in his sanctuary. So to say, our ascension response should be worship, being filled with joy and perpetual praise of the Triune God.
Weekend prayer: Holy Spirit fill our hearts with joy and gladness as we worship the ascended Lord Jesus Christ and praise God continually in his sanctuary. Amen!
Have a blessed weekend! Peace be with you!
