“Take Heart And Have Peace In Me!”
Maybe you are now at a crossroad and you seem to think that your world is crumbling. You get up each new day, you pray and ask God to change the situation from bad to good, unfortunately things degenerate from bad to worse. More villages are being razed down to ashes and more blood is being spilled.
As if that is not enough you continue to receive threatening calls of imminent destruction if you do not send in your support to the struggle. Everywhere there is chaos and confusion.
Your problem may be joblessness, ill health or insecurity. You may even be wondering whether it is not the right thing to do by following the advise of Job’s wife: “Are you still holding on to your integrity? Curse God and die!” But like Job replied, “…Shall we accept good from God, and not trouble?”(Job 2:9-10).
No; you cannot give up on God for God has not given up on you!
Today Jesus Christ leaves with us great consolatory words in the midst of complex life challenges.
“I have told you these things so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world”(Jn. 16:29-33).
My friend, whatever the present predicament, believe that Jesus came from God and his words are true. He has not abandoned you in that situation. Leave it with him!
Prayer: Thank you Lord Jesus for the great consolation that my peace is in you. Amen!
Have a blessed day! Peace be with you!
