“Rejoice In The Lord Always…!”(Phi.4:4-9).
I was guest to a social group yesterday and when I asked the name of the group I was told the name of the group is LG.(I’m not going to tell you the location of the group for fear of the new tax about to come)! I asked what LG stands for and was told that it means,“Life is good!” This reminded me that my TV set is LG. I’ve never cared to know much about that brand name. All I know is that I often see a LG advert: ‘Life is Good.’
Coming back from the meeting I googled up LG and found this: The brand name LG stands for Lucky Goldstar, a Korean company founded by Koo In-hwoi and managed by successive generations of his family. “But LG has become more synonymous with the company’s tag line ‘Life’s Good’…” LG is considered the second largest electronics maker after Samsung.
We all know how joyful and happy we usually are when entertained through TV, radio and other electronic entertainment devices. Yet the joy we receive through the above ways cannot measure that which comes to us through Jesus Christ.
In fact, life is good but with Christ and in him “Life is Best!” Paul exhorts us as we expect Christ, “Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near. Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus…”
My friend, those who leave all their worries in the hands of the Almighty are anxious about nothing. When you are with Christ you do not see any problem in any problem!
Christmas is joy to the world, so let us be joyful and let it be reflected as we align with “whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable…” In fact, anything that is excellent or praiseworthy are the things we should think about at Christmas and put them into practice for that alone is what makes us joyful. And they are also the means by which our joyfulness is manifested. “The time to be happy is now, and the place to be happy is here. And the way to be happy is to make someone happy and you find a little heaven down here.”
Sunday prayer: Thank you Lord Jesus Christ for being the perfect gift that makes me joyful. Amen!
Have a blessed Sunday! Peace be with you! Merry Christmas!
