“Advent Journey Day XIX.”
“Prepare The Way For The Lord!”(Mt.3:1-12).
The message of the herald is as old as John the Baptist. As old as the story is, it is made new in every clime and time.
We articulate the story with new accents but it is the same story.
Christmas makes no sense without heeding the words of the herald.
And the message is: “Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is near… Produce fruit in keeping with repentance…”
This is a universal message addressed to those who choose foolishness so that they can gain the wisdom of God. Does it make sense to you?
Weekend prayer: Holy Spirit, open my heart to embrace the message of the heralds of the gospel. Amen!
Have a blessed weekend! Peace be with you! Merry Christmas!
Rev Babila Fochang.
