“Ask In Alignment To God’s Will!”(I Jn.5:14-15).
A pupil was sent out of class for not being attentive to the teacher. He went home, and when the father asked him why he was home earlier than usual, he replied: “Our teacher said I was not paying attention in class.” The father was angry that his child could be sent out of class because he had not paid attention. He asked to know how much attention cost. The son said it cost 10,000 frs CFA. The father gave him the money to go and pay, vowing that his son would never be sent out of class for owing anything whatsoever.
All things being equal, parents think of the best for their kids. Children should not also take advantage of ignorant parents through deception.
Sometimes, you hear people saying with conviction that even thieves pray before going to steal. Be sure that the successful mission of a thief who prayed before operation is not an answered prayer from God.
God does not encourage you to indulge in what he abhors! Prayers must be in alignment with God’s will! To this effect, John writes: “This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us. And if we know that he hears us—whatever we ask—we know that we have what we asked of him.”
Yes, God hears us when our prayers align with his will. Hearing us means we are sure to receive it. This becomes our confidence! God in Christ does not disappoint us!
My friend, approach God with confidence as you ask whatever is in alignment with his will and be sure you’ll have it!
Prayer: Holy Spirit, daily reveal God’s will to me so that whatever I ask him should be in alignment with his will. Amen!
Have a blessed day! Peace be with you!
