“Pray For Wisdom, For ‘Wisdom Is Better Then Strength!'”
The wisdom of a poor man saved a small city from the invasion of a powerful king who came against it. Unfortunately “nobody remembered that poor man.”
“Wisdom is better than strength,” yet, today more than ever, “the poor man’s wisdom is despised, and his words are no longer heeded.” It is so because the rich are able to use their wealth to buy the consciences of the people; they are able to use stolen wealth to make propaganda which seeks to spread falsehood as truth so that naive minds believe them.
The wise man tells us, “the quiet words of the wise are more to be heeded than the shouts of a ruler of fools. Wisdom is better than weapons of war, but one sinner destroys much good”(Eccl.9:13-18).
It is not by might nor by power but by the Spirit of the Lord of Host that a mountain can be removed! It is the force of the argument and not the argument of force that is needed to change any narrative of distortion, confusion, corruption and show of strength!
If the fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom” our quest for direction and meaning in the world must be deeply rooted in the fear of the Lord alone! “Christ is our wisdom.” Let us drop our weapons of war and pursue the wisdom of the poor to save our land and people!
Prayer: Father I thank you for a new week. Give me the wisdom to face the challenges that confront me today because wisdom is better than strength. Amen!
Welcome back to work. We wish you a blessed day and week! Peace be with you!
