“O Sing Praises To The LORD Most High!”(Ps.65:1-8).
Dear friend, it’s another weekend and the LORD has been merciful to us again. Let us give thanks to the LORD for he is good.
While Paul was advocating for Christ among the idolaters of Athens, some stoics and epicureans called him a babbler and others said, “He seems to be advocating foreign gods”(see Acts 17:16ff). The saving God is not a foreign God.The God of our salvation is the same God of our creation He is not a stranger in any land. God is “the hope of all the ends of the earth and of the farthest seas.”
God’s love is demonstrated by his forgiving heart. In recognition of this king David sang, When we were overwhelmed by sins, you forgave our transgression.”
God is everywhere for the chosen because even when he is known, many still go their own way. But blessed are those whom the LORD chooses and brings near to live in his courts. The God who made all things and saw that they were good fills us with the good things of his house.
God our Creator is the same God our Saviour who hears our prayers and answers us with awesome deeds of righteousness.
May our praises go up to him unceasingly as we appear constantly before his presence in righteousness.
Weekend prayer: Thank you LORD for answering us with awesome deeds of righteousness. Amen!
Have a blessed day! Peace be with you!
Rev Babila Fochang.
