“Remain Strong In The Lord; Satan Cannot Lay A Finger On You!”
Members of the heavenly council who stand in the presence of God (angels) “came to present themselves before the Lord;” probably to give account of their work and possibly receive new assignments. It was in those good old days when Satan could freely be present at such heavenly assemblies.
God had noticed his long absence and sought to know where he was coming from? As usual Satan had been “roaming through the earth…back and forth in it” surely “like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour.”
God singled out Job who was nonparreil on earth, “blameless and upright, a man who fears God and shuns evil.” Satan considered this a bad joke. He boldly accused the man God commended. Satan considered that Job’s righteousness in which God delighted was self-serving. He wondered what could be expected from a man whose of of the hands God had blessed and put a hedge around him and his household!
It is not like God’s hands were tied, but he offered all of Job’s possessions to Satan but cautioned him, “…on the man himself do not lay a finger” Satan went out of God’s presence because he had received his assignment(Jb.1:6-12).
My friend, when trouble starts raining on you as it is now with the majority of us, do not waver in your faith. God is not directly responsible, but he permits Satan to wreck havoc on you. One thing that must keep your faith is that despite the odds God has warned Satan not to lay a finger on you. Yes, rest assured because God is watching your back.
Prayer: Father thank you that in Jesus Christ you have blocked Satan never to lay a finger on me. I will always worship you no matter my status in life. Amen!
Have a blessed day! Peace be with you!
