“You Are Saved By Grace To Do The Works Of Righteousness!”
Good drivers are sometimes the cause of ghastly accidents. Good cooks sometimes prepare unpalatable meals. One can never be too good nor too rigtheous! There is nobody without some flaws. In other words, no-one is perfect.
Perfection is of God who has concluded that without his grace none of us can gain salvation.
We are saved by faith in God through believe in the saving works of Jesus the Christ. This is not a guarantee to go about doing as we please because grace abounds. We are not saved by works of righteousness; we are saved by grace so that we can do the works of righteousness.
My friend, if you want to enjoy the fullness of grace be like Abraham of old. Like Abraham of old believe in the saving works of Christ and God will credit it to you as righteousness (Rom.4:1-5). Of course, when you believe in somebody, you would surely do what he desires. Faith without works is dead, but works is not a guarantor of faith either. Rather works should be a complement of faith. God in Christ Jesus has saved us; we should not get tired of doing good works as a response.
Prayer of the week: Holy Spirit help me daily to do works of righteousness as a response to the righteousness credited to me by God in Christ Jesus. Amen!
Welcome back to a new working week. May your work be a reflection of he through whom your belief has been credited with righteousness.
Have a blessed day and week! Peace be with you!
