“You Are Called To Call Others To Christ!”
Whoever finds a good thing wants others to be part of it. The joy of being a follower of Jesus Christ is not only because one has been saved, joy comes from the fellowship that is shared among the saved. This fellowship is made possible when you tell others about Jesus Christ and cause them to be part of the good that you have discovered in Christ.
Since you knew the Lord how many people have you brought into the fold? Jesus calls you to call others.
However, you cannot call others unless you have experienced Christ. It is not so much because Jesus has called you that you are saved. You must be convinced through enlightenment by the Holy Spirit that he is the One.
Such was the experience of Philip. When Jesus called him, he in turn saw Nathanael and told hom, “We have found the one Moses wrote about in the Law, and whom the prophets also wrote – Jesus of Nazareth…” According to Nathanael no good thing could come out of Nazareth. But Philip convinced him, “Come and see.”
Nathanael accepted and a few words from Jesus caused him to believe what Philip had said. Among other things Jesus told Nathanael, “…You shall see greater things than that…”(Jn.1:43-51).
My friend, you were called by Jesus Christ so that you should call others through your words and actions. If you have experienced the love of God through Jesus Christ, be zealous to bring others to share in it. As the saying goes, a lighted candle loses nothing by lighting others. Burn yourself like a matchstick so that others can be served.
