“We Thank God For You!”
The kingdom of light and the dominion of darkness do not exist as seperate countries having territorial boundaries. These kingdoms exist as one country in which the kings operate in their spheres.
The fight for dominion is in each one of us. Someone has said, “God and Satan have chosen to fight and the battleground is man’s soul.” The battle for man’s soul is real, but it is not between God and Satan. God is Superior and does not fight wuth his creatures. We cannot elevate Satan to equality with God.
On the contrary, the battle for man’s soul within man’s soul is the battle between man’s freewill and Satan. It is a battle concerning choices! It is about the choice to be or not to be. It is a battle to free oneself from darkness into light or to remain in darkness. Through freewill God allows us to choose. In his love and compassion he has shown us the way and allow us to make the choice (Jn.3:16).
When we have come out of darkness to the marvellous light of God we need the strengthening of the saints to be able to remain in the light. This is possible when we pray for one another, since we are all saints.
When was the last time you told somebody, “I thank God for you?” It is important that we pray for one another, “asking God to fill you with the knowledge of his will through all spiritual wisdom and understanding…” so that “you may live a life worthy of the Lord and may please him in every way: bearing fruit in every good work, growing in the knowledge of God…and joyfully giving thanks to the Father, who has qualified you to share in the inheritance of the saints in the kingdom of light. For he has rescued us from the dominion of darkness and brought us into the kingdom of the Son he loves, in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins”(Col.1:9-14).
My friend, this is the essential prayer I pray for you and others, even as you pray for me and others. In this way God will fill us with the knowledge of his will through all spiritual wisdom and understanding. And we can all be strengthened and be able to live lives worthy of the Lord, pleasing him in every way and bearing fruit in every good work.
When we seek God’s kingdom and his righteousness by interceding for one another, then all the other benefits we need will be given to us.
Prayer: Thank you Lord for taking me out of darkness and bringing me into the kingdom of your Son. Amen!
Have a blessed day! Peace be with you!
