“Walk In The Light!”(I Jn.1:5-10).
“This is the message we have heard from him and declare to you: God is light; in him is no darkness at all. If we claim to have relationship with him yet walk in the darkness, we lie and do not live by the truth. But if we walk in the light, as he is the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, purifies us from all sin. “
A quick reminder: Light represents what is good, true and holy, while darkness represents what is evil and false.
It is easy then for you to know when you are fully in the light or in the darkness.
We are all coming from a dark place into his marvelous light. What is needed for us is how to sustain our presence in the light of God.
And the sustenance is to be true, good and holy. This is exemplified in our fellowship with Christ and with one another and being assured that we have been purified by the blood of the Lamb of God.
We come to him beaten, bruised and broken by sin, and he makes us whole as he purifies us from all our sins.
He purifies us and gives us an injuction: “Go and sin no more!”
Weekend prayer: Holy Spirit help us daily to bask in the light by being good, true and holy. Amen!
Have a blessed weekend! Peace be with you!
