“Saved By The Kindness And Love Of God; Pass It On!”

“Saved By The Kindness And Love Of God; Pass It On!”(Ti.3:3-8).
In the passage above are the words, Kindness, Love, Mercy and Grace. Apart from love, the rest are now known names of persons; ironically, as far as I know, females only. Rightly so since the words have feminine attributes and highlights the feminie attributes of God that patriarchal systems fail to project.
Patriarchy highlights the male attributes of God, Mighty Man in battle, Lion of Judah, The Lord of Hosts, the Defender of…, etc!This may explain the reason why men delight in taking up arms against fellowman and take pleasure in making capital out of the blood of others!
It is the kindness and love of God that has saved us; “not because of righteous things we had done, but because of his mercy.”
Everything that we have received – especially that which comes from God – we should pass them on. We have experienced a rebirth and renewal by the Holy Spirit “poured out on us generously through Jesus Christ our Savior, so that, having been justified by his grace, we might become heirs…”
When we trust God for what he has done for us and to us, we should devote ourselves to doing what is good, because all that is embodied in goodness “are excellent and profitable for everyone.”
This is especially so because before God’s kindness and love appeared “we too were foolish, disobedient, deceived and enslaved by all kinds of passions and pleasures. We lived in malice and envy, being hated and hating one another.”
Now that mercy and grace through Christ have been given to us, let us be the difference!
Prayer: Father thank you for renewal through the Holy Spirit poured out on us generously through Jesus Christ your Son our Lord. Amen!
