“Revel In The Glory Of The Lord!”
Within the last seven years it has been told to me twice by my would-be assassins that they were paid to kill me. I am like “I don’t care” because man is not God!
The commissioning of Isaiah challenges me to reveal the most secret sacred secret I’ve kept to myself; except my late mother to whom I confided. About thirty five years ago I saw the glory of the Lord in a bright setting sun. I stood transfixed and speechless. I could neither move nor speak. Then I heard a voice saying, “My child, fear not, I am the Lord. I have called you to speak for me…” I didn’t consider myself worthy; so I thought I was hallucinating. But the voice insisted.
This is the reason why I am never afraid to speak the word as it comes to me. Many people have advised, and many have warned me not to speak truth to power, but I always tell them that what would be, would be; as long as the Lord wills it.
What I’m saying – based from my personal encounter with the Lord – is that there is a sense in which when you encounter the glory of the Lord you can only like Isaiah say, “Woe to me! I am ruined! For I am a man of unclean lips, and I live among a people of unclean lips, and my eyes have seen the King, the LORD Almighty.”
Also, there is a sense in which the Lord touches your mouth saying, “See, this has touched your lips; your guilt is taken away and your sin atoned for.”
Yes, my sin, your sin have been atoned for with the blood of the Son of God. When the Lord asks, “Whom shall I send? And who will go for us?” There should be no hesitation born out of doubt or fear. The bold response is, “Here am I, send me!”(Is.6:1-8).
When we resppond to the call we would not fear any pysical or supernatural enemy because the Lord is watching our backs! Whatever may happen to us can only be in so far as he has decreed it! Like little David of old, Fear not! Go in the strength of the Lord to face any Golliath!
Prayer of the week: Holy Trinity, here I am to go for you because my guilt has been taken away and my sin atoned for. Amen!
Welcome back to a new working week! Have a blessed day and week! Peace be with you!
