“Rejoice; You Too Share In The Promise In Christ Jesus!”
No arbitrator can speak favourably for a man who disowns any of his children while favouring some. Also, favoured children should not develop airs to think that they are better off than the disenfranchised. God who is the Father to all children could not also disinherit the Gentiles and claim only Israel as his chosen. Israel had no reason to practice a religion of exclusion as if they owned God.
God’s plan for inclusiveness was fulfilled through “the mystery of Christ, which was not made known to men in other generations as has now been revealed by the Spirit to God’s holy apostles and prophets; including Paul and by extension, today’s ministers of the gospel.
The mystery is simply that through Christ we all belong. To put it in Paul’s words, “this mystery is that through the gospel the Gentiles are heirs together with Israel, members together of one body, and sharers together in the promise in Christ Jesus”(Eph.3:1-6).
To discern this mystery you must emancipate your mind from mental slavery. While those whose spiritual eyes are blinded by this other worldliness act in mundane ways, maintain that freedom of the knowledge that salvation belongs to those who call on the name of Jesus Christ irrespective of where they come from! Through Christ Jesus “we both have access to the Father by one Spirit”(Eoh.2:18).
No-one is going to determine your salvation. Jesus Christ alone has done that and that is called GRACE! Rejoice because you too have a share “in the promise in Christ Jesus.”
Weekend prayer: Father I thank you that through your Holy Spirit I too have a share in the promise in Christ Jesus. Amen!
Have a blessed weekend! Peace be with you!
