“Pray And Work For The Salvation Of Your People Too!”
We all have love and concern for the wellbeing of our people and the welfare of our communities. That is why every village has a cultural and development association. Other than that, there are other developmental groups formed by sons and daughters outside the villages whose sole objectives are to improve their villages and make life better for their people and villages.
This is to show that there is deep concern for our kith and kin. We are concerned that our people should be privileged to enjoy whatever we enjoy elsewhere.
Yes, we must be concerned for our families, relatives, tribesmen and our country folks. At the deepest and highest level must be the concern for the spiritual well-being of our people. Unfortunately this is often the least of our worries because of denominational divide, religious pluralism and secularism!
Social and cultural developments are good but they are temporary. The eternal salvation of our people should be a major developmental concern. If we know that we have been saved in Christ Jesus we must make it our duty to make the message of salvation available to our own people.
The gospel was first brought to Fernandopo and Cameroon by Jamaican freed slaves who having received the good news felt the people in the land of their ancestry deserved the same salvation.
Each evangelist must be a pained person if his/her people reject the message of salvation. Each evangelist must be at pains as he/she ensures that his own people do not reject the message of salvation (Rom.9:1-5).
We pray and thank God for you sons and daughters who support the work of Bible translations/revisions into your Mother-Tongues. May God continue to bless you abundantly as you make contributions for your people to be saved as well.
Weekend prayer: Holy Spirit encourage my zeal to reach out to my people with the good news of Jesus Christ the Saviour of the world. Amen!
Have a blessed weekend! Peace be with you!
