“Obey The Lord And Be Blessed!”
With God there is no via media position. Obedience to him attracts multifarious blessings and disobedience attracts multifarious curses.
Life is about choices and choices determine consequences. When we make choices, we must be ready to face the consequences of those choices. We do reap what we sow in the sense that we are either blessed for obedience or cursed for disobedience in following God’s commands.
Today we are reminded: *”If you obey the Lord your God andcarefully follow all his commands I give you today, the Lord your God will set you high above all the nations of the earth. All these blessings will come upon you if you obey the Lord your God: *You will be blessed in the city and blessed in the country. The fruit of your womb will be blessed…”* (Dt.28:1-9).
God in his mercy and abundance of grace has made it simpler for us to merit his blessings by simply believing in his only begotten Son.
Wherever and whenever we have missed any of the blessings of God is indicative of our disobedience, and requires a U-turn back to the Lord. This is possible and available when we repent of previous disobedience with an affirmation to henceforth faithfully obey.
Prayer: Holy Spirit lead me on the path of obedience and not miss out on the blessings of God through Jesus Christ. Amen!
Have a blessed day! Peace be with you!
