“My Trust And Confidence Is In The Lord!”
“But blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord; whose confidence is in him. He will be like a tree planted by the water that sends out its roots by the stream, it does not fear when heat comes; its leaves are always green. It has no worries in a year of drought and never fails to bear fruit” (Jer. 17:7-8).
Did you know that your bed is your best friend? No matter the hostilities of the outside world, no matter the rejections and frustrations from friend and foe, the moment you lie on the bed it receives you wholesomely. You may rough handle the bed in any way it still remains accommodative to you. What a best friend! But there is someone more than the bed.
A little boy who does dangerous acrobatic feats with his father was asked whether he is not afraid that in one of those dangerous acts he may be harmed. The boy replied that he is never afraid because he knows that his dad can never intentionally allow any harm to happen to him.
It is about having trust and confidence in the one who watches your back. Such is our God. He cares for you and has planted you on fertile soil. The storms of life may rage and roar around you, but God has your back and is your pathfinder!
Do not put your trust in humans or on things. They are transient and ephemeral; unpredictable and unreliable! Let your trust and confidence be God in Christ Jesus who never fails. He is always with you.
Have no worries under the circumstances; whatever it be. All the worries about today will soon be over by evening. But you will be well because the Lord is your strength. Listen to his silent voice before deciding and acting today.
Prayer: Lord Jesus Christ my trust and confidence is in you. Let it be to me only according to your will. Amen!
