“Make Preparations To Receive Your Christmas Reward!”
A familiar Mungaka “alonge” song states, “the Son of God descended from heaven to earth so as to destroy what Satan had built up for himself.” This is exactly what Christmas is all about. “The kingdom of the world has become the kingdom of our Lord and his Christ, and he will reign forever and ever.”
Christmas is joy and sadness combined, or you may say, “two sides to the same coin.” It reminds us of the second coming. And as John puts it in Revelation, it is a time for judging the dead, and for rewarding God’s servants, the prophets, the saints and those who reverence the Lord’s name, both small and great. Meanwhile it is a time also “for destroying those who destroy the earth”(11:15-19).
Dear friend, what contribution are you making to enhance the growth and progress of the earth; to enhance abundant life both physically and spiritually? Your honest answer as you search inwardly is a determinant for your expectations before the Lord.
Weekend prayer: Lord inspire me to enhance the sanity and sanctity of the earth. Thank you as we receive with joy the reward of sacrificial love which you have sent to us at Christmas. Amen!
Have a blessed weekend! Peace be with you!
