“Love One Another Deeply, From The Heart!”
According to Peter obeying the truth is a purification to “have sincere love” for others. This is in tandem with Romans 12:9: “Love must be sincere.” Sincere love is to “love one another deeply from the heart.”
“Sincere love” and “love one another deeply from the heart” infers that there is insincere love and love that is through lip service which is skin deep.
Sincere love and loving one another deeply from the heart is the outcome of being “born again…through the living and enduring word of God.”
Love is the reason why Jesus died (Jn.3:16). Before leaving the world Jesus gave us a new command, “Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must also love one another.” Love for one another is the only way by which all others may know that we are the disciples of Jesus Christ (Jn.13:34-35).
My friend by all indications, indisputable evidences surround us now to teach us that all of us are like grass that whithers and flowers that fall, “but the word of the Lord stands forever”(I Pt.1:22-25).
Labour day was a day on which workers in our country enjoyed free T-shirts and maybe some booze and May 20th was a day of celebration and fanfare. This year may not be the same like other years.
Social distancing is already distancing us from each other. We are scared of allowing even our relatives and those we consider friends to visit us. All these things reveal to us the futility of hate caused by envy, greed, avarice, the quest for power, fame and wealth.
The time is too short for any of us! Sincere love and loving deeply from the heart is the only property that we shall each carry to eternity. Let us spend this brief time here in love following the command of our Lord. The word of the Lord alone will stand forever when we have faded away like the stars of the morning!
Prayer: Holy Spirit fill me with sincere love for others, to love deeply from my heart and abide by the enduring word of God. Amen!
Have a blessed day! Peace be with you!
