“Let The Righteous Sing A New Song To The LORD!”(Ps.33:1-12).
For a newcday, we thank you LORD.
We have spent this whole week extolling the wonders of God in creation and sustenance. We round up today with a call to the righteous to sing joyfully to the LORD because it is fitting for the upright to praise him.
When we wallow in the blessings of God we should sing to him a new song and shout for joy.
God’s word is righteous and true and he is faithful in all he does. And he loves righteousness and justice. That is why the world is full of his unfailing love.
Instead the midst of all these and more, let us treasure this: “Blessed is the nation whose God is the LORD, the people he chose for his inheritance.” To be such a blessed nation, our leaders should cease from belonging to esoteric fraternities like AMORC. Eckhankar and they should desist from putting their trust in witchdoctors, etc!
As a people who know God if we want to sing joyfully to him we must strive for justice and righteousness like him. And we must love others in the same way God loves us. Let there be righteousness and justice in the land, beginning from you!
Weekend prayer: Holy Spirit help me to be righteous and just so that my song of praise can reach the LORD and his mercy descend on me. Amen!
Have a blessed weekend! Peace be with you!
Rev Babila Fochang.
