“Hope In The Lord For Renewed Strength!”
In all religions it is acknowledged that humanity lacks completeness and fulgilment. A completeness that can be found only in a Being Higher than humans.
That Higher Being is God. In him and with him there is completeness and fulfilment. The human soul remains restless until it finds God! He is “the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He will not grow weary, and his understanding no one can fathom.”
When we are weary he is the one who gives us strength and he alone increases the power of the weak.
That is why it is futile to think that we can make it all alone without our God. In our futility we alienate ourselves from his presence by going our own ways. Paul lets us know that “flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God, nor the perishable inherit the imperishable…” The kingdom of God includes his kingdom people in this world and the kingdom reign of his resurrected Son Jesus Christ. God gives us victory through Jesus Christ.
It comes as a timely elderly piece of advice from Paul, “…stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourself fully to the work of the Lord, because you know your labour is not in vain”(I Cor.15:50-58).
It is not as if all is smooth sailing. There are bound to be moments of upheavals and raging storms. But we have this assurance: “Those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint”(Is.40:26-33).
So therefore my dear friend, no matter the trials of life, keep hope alive! Trust God through the resurrected Lord Jesus Christ.
Sunday prayer: Heavenly Father, my hope is in you through Jesus Christ your Son our Lord. Amen!
Have a blessed Sunday! Peace be with you!
