“Go! It Will Be Done Just As You Believed…!”(Mt.8:5-13).
It is not long ago that miracle-seekers Cameroonians were vying to go to a home in the East region where a family claimed an apparition of the Lord Jesus Christ appeared on the wall of their house.
We must not see the risen Lord physically or through an apparition before believing in him; or even by stigmata. We walk by faith and not by physical sight.
A centurion came to Jesus asking for help for his paralyzed servant who was suffering at home. Jesus told him, “I will go and heal him.”
The centurion’s response astonished Jesus. He said, “Lord, I do not deserve to have you come under my roof. But just say the word, and my servant will be healed…”
Unless it is a hyperbole, Jesus told those following him, “I tell you the truth, I have not found anyone in Israel with such great faith…” He continued with how Gentiles will come from all over the world to share the feasts with the Jewish Patriachs in the kingdom, meanwhile “the subjects of the kingdom will be thrown outside, into the darkness…”
So saying, Jesus told the centurion, “Go! It will be done just as you believed it would.” At that same instance the centurion’s servant was healed.
Dear friend, we do not have to invite Jesus to our homes because as we sing, “God is always near me…”
Open your eyes of faith and you’ll see him. When you see him make your request in faith to him. Then listen to the still voice that tells you, “Go! It will be done just as you believed it would.”
Prayer: “Lord, I am not worthy to receive you, but only say the word and I will be healed.” Amen!
Have a blessed day! Peace be with you!
