“Follow Christ The Light And Have The Light Of Life!”

“Follow Christ the Light And Have The Light Of Life!”(Jn.8:12-20).
The lizard, after jumping down from a high place, looked around, and there was nobody to say, “Well done.” The lizard nodded its head in seld-praise.
Human beings are not quite different from the lizard. Boasting about our achievements is the lizard kind of self-praise.
The Jews had a reputation for bearing witness. In any given, at least two people were needed to bear witness.
In a world inundated by charlatans, it is always important to have witnesses who can give valid testimony.
Jesus told the people, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness but will have the light of life.” The Pharisees challenged him that his testimony was not valid because he was bearing witness to himself.
Jesus insisted that his testimony of himself was valid because he knew where he came from.
In fact, no one can claim to know the Father if the one does not know the Son.
Dear friend, what do we gain by refusing light that comes to us in the midst of darkness?
Let us come out of darkness, follow Christ the light, and “have the light of life.”
Weekend prayer: Holy Spirit, help me to keep following the Lord Jesus Christ and have the light of life. Amen!
