“Fear And Trust The LORD!”(Ex.14:31-5:3).
With the Red sea infront and Pharaoh and his army approaching from behind, the Israelites were terrified. They heaped all blame on Moses. But Moses assured them, “Do not be afraid. Stand firm and you will see the deliverance the LORD will bring you today…The LORD will fight for you; you need only to be still”(Ex.14:13-14).
And it came to pass that through Moses the LORD made a way for them to cross the sea, lured Pharaoh and his army into the very sea and drowned them.
“When the Israelites saw the great power the LORD had displayed against the Egyptians, the people feared the LORD and put their trust in him and in Moses his servant.”
In homeland we have reached that perilous moment where there is a Red sea infront and the Pharaoh and his army chasing from behind. We are terrified! We live in trepidation and we wonder why our Moseses did not allow us find contentment in our drudgery!
Nevertheless, we have this blessed assurance: Amidst the defeaning noise of combat just be still and allow the LORD to fight for you!
When it is the LORD’s battle there is no reason why you have to think that all hope is lost. Without weapons keep hope alive and you will see the great power of the LORD against your adversaries.
Take note: It was neither by might nor power, nor the ingenuity of the Israelites that they prevailed against Pharaoh and his army. It was the LORD who gave them victory!
When God gives us victory we should fear him and trust him and his servants.
And when we see the mighty hand of the LORD, we should celebrate his victory in joyous song.
The LORD is our strength and our song; he has become our salvation in Christ Jesus! He is our God who is worthy of our praises. Hallelujah!
Prayer: Holy Spirit help me to be still and trust in the LORD who fights my battles. Amen!
Have a blessed day! Peace be with you!
