“Confess And Renounce Your Sins And Find Mercy!”
Leaders are to be respected, they are not to be feared. Leaders are to be loved by the people they lead as they too show love to the people. The Good Book says, “When the rigtheous triumph, there is great elation; but when the wicked rise to power, men go into hiding.”
Wicked leadership breeds a culture of sealed lips precipated by fear of the vengeful irk of such wicked leaders. The subjects remain mute, but inwardly they waste away. When the wicked rise to power, disgruntleness, grumblings, frustration, stress and depression becomes commonplace; and this may lead to early deaths of those who lack the inner stamina to withstand.
To both the leaders and the people, those who conceal their sins do not prosper, but “whoever confesses and renounces them finds mercy.”
Confession of sin without renouncing them does not merit God’s mercy. When we confess and renounce, it leads us to the reverential fear of God, and attracts his blessings. Thus, “Blessed is the man who always fears the Lord, but he who hardens his heart falls into trouble”(Prv.28:12-14).
Dear friend, when sin is identified and confessed, follow it up by denouncing it and you will find mercy. When you hear God’s word, harden not your heart. Always fear the Lord and you will be blessed.
Prayer: Lord, I confess and denounce my sins. Have mercy on me and bless my soul. Amen!
Have a blessed day! Peace be with you!
