“Believe And Be Justified!”
The story of the people of Israel has become our story because we too are the children of Abraham by adoption. More so we are “Gentiles who worship God” or “God-fearing Gentiles.”
So “it is to us that this message of salvation has been sent.”
It is the story of how Jesus’ accusers, “though they found no proper ground for a death sentence, they asked Pilate to execute him…But God raised him from the dead…”
The good news is that what God had promised from of old, “he has fulfilled for us…by raising up Jesus…”
How helpful does this become for us? It is helpful to us in that “through Jesus the forgiveness of sins is proclaimed… Through him everyone who believes is justified from everything you could not be justified by the law of Moses”(Acts 13:26-39).
Through Jesus God’s grace becomes abundant for us, just as through him God’s mercy endures forever.
If you believe this then thousands may die by your sides but you will live to testify about the Lord’s goodness. Even if you should be amongst the thousands who die, you will still rejoice in the Lord that heaven becomes your eternal home. If you believe this then you will overcome the fright, the fear and the scare of the COVID-19 pandemic. While we obey the rules that can help us to stay safe, we should be reminded that our times are in God’s hands.
Prayer: Lord Jesus Christ through you my sins are forgiven. I will testify about you in life and live with you in death. Amen!
Have a blessed day! Peace be with you!
