“Be Thankful For The Blessings Of Others!”
Due to cultural impositions some girls missed marrying the husbands of their choices. The simple reason being that such girls were restricted from getting married because their elderly sisters were not yet married.
In some cases elder brothers have become so embittered with their junior brothers who became more successful than them.
God’s measure of grace and mercy is not about “first come, first serve!”
We are like job seekers idling at the market place. God is like the landowner who comes during the morning hour, employs some of us on an agreed rate. He comes at some later hours and hires others, even when it is about closing time. At pay time if he decides to pay the late comers the same amount as with us who were hired first, it is not our place to get jealoused or angry. After all he has paid us the agreed amount (Mt.20:1-16). Many are first who will become last and many are last who will become first. Do not be jealous or envious of those who come after you but are graded first. Just keep in mind that God is never unjust nor partial! Besides, the future and the end is always different from the present. We may earn the same amount even though hired at different hours of the day, but how each person invests what was earned makes the difference. Be contented with your level of blessing and thank God for it wholeheartedly!
Weekend prayer: Holy Spirit teach me not to be envious of the blessings of others, but rather to be thankful for my own blessings. Amen!
Have a blessed weekend! Peace be with you!
