“Blessed Assurance!”

“Blessed Assurance!”(Is.66:22-23)
“‘As the new heavens and the new earth that I make will endure before me,’ declares the Lord, ‘so will your name and descendants endure. From one New Moon to another and from one Sabbath to another, all mankind will come and bow down before me,’ says the Lord.”
Our generation is no different from past generations with competing claimant voices, each wanting to be heard and obeyed. However, believers in Christ are warned not to listen to the voice of a stranger!
Renewal, transformation, and restoration are some of the key themes of Holy Writ! God plans to do a new thing for all humanity.
Today’s text (the last two but one verse) is from the last chapter of Isaiah, which talks of judgment for false worshippers and blessing for true worshippers.
Hope is intensified in the promise of a new era. Those who wait on the LORD will tell the wondrous story of how Christ was lifted up from the grave so as to draw all mankind unto himself.
In the new dispensation, all those claimant false voices will be silenced, for there is just one being to whom all mankind will turn for obeisance.
A news item says the president of a far-off country says if negotiations for peace fail, he will commence bombing a country that is not his neighbour in any way! At our nostrils, Ngarbuh has repeated itself without warning after a brief ceasefire!😭😭😭!
Dear LORD, pardon us for asking, How long before the time of new beginnings begins? How many souls will perish before the dawn of a new beginning?
The Lord Jesus Christ says his kingdom is not of this world. Let his words become the assurance of our hope that his kingdom is the enduring new heavens and the new earth where our names and those of our descendants will endure on worship and adoration days!
Prayer of the day and week: Holy Spirit, renew our hope and trust in the LORD even in the midst of gloom. Amen!
