“The Mystery Of God!”(Eph.3:1-6)
Dearly beloved, we thank God for another day. His grace continue to be sufficient for us. Today we reflect on the mystery of God which was not known in times past until Christ came.
Paul says this mystery is that you and I now belong, just like the Jews. In Paul’s words, “The mystery is that through the gospel the Gentiles are heirs together with Israel, members together of one body, and sharers together in the promise in Christ Jesus.”
We all stand on the promises of God which cannot fail.In Christ there is neither Jew nor Gentile, slave nor freeborn. In Christ we are one.
Nobody should make you feel inferior. The Church’s one foundation is Jesus Christ our Lord. All believers are heirs together, members together of one body and sharers together in the promise in Christ Jesus.
Your place in heaven is secured; just like that of any believer. As far as we know, there will be no hierarchy in heaven. Titles and positions end here! Tribal and racial superiority end here! We are all chopchairs sharing in the same promises in Christ Jesus. Being aware of this should humble the wealthy, the haughty, and the proud and arrogant within the fold.
It does not also become an opportunity for the poor and lowly, and the nonentities to become boastful and insultive.
The Mystery should cause all of us to walk humbly before the Lord.
Prayer: Heavenly Father thank you for making us heirs and sharers in the promise in Christ Jesus. Amen!
