“Walk In Wisdom (Christ) And Be Kept Safe!”

(Prv.28:19-28).
Many of us adults look back and have nothing to show for all our years of toil and strain. And when we look at our counterparts who are successful we say how blessed they are. Or at worst we get envious and say it is not “cold money,” that it is “hot money.” It is true that some go after hot money. But as Prince Nico sang, “hot money di purge belle. If you di find hot money, when you chopam finish you go die…” Meanwhile “cold money go give you long life…”
It is true that some look for hot money. They look for hot money because they want to enjoy sweet without sweat. No sweat, no sweat!”
Many go about wretched but the money they spent in fantasies would have provided for them large estates and huge investments. The wise man advises, “He who works his land will have abundant food, but the one who chases fantasies will have a life of poverty.”
Of course, not everybody can make it in life at the same level. God intentionally made our fingers not to be of the same length to teach us a lesson of humility. A short ved in the farm is not necessarily because the farmer was lazy or that there was not enough soil. Some things are bound to be the way they are.
That is why if you are blessed, give to the poor and you will lack nothing, but when you close your eyes to them you receive curses.
Wealth is not all that matters, so do not go after hot money! You will be richly blessed if you are faithful, but if you are eager to get rich through hot money, you will not go unpunished. “What goes around, comes around!” Do not trust in yourself; walk in wisdom and you will be kept safe.
Above all, the economic stability and success of individuals is dependent on the leadership; whether of institutions or nations. “When the wicked rise to power, people go into hiding; but when the wicked perish, the righteous thrive”
I remember the day the people of a country spilled champagne on the streets when they heard of somebody’s death. Then it turned out to be “April fool!”
My friend, the bottomline is that engage yourself meaningfully and with the fear of the Lord. Seek the face of Christ always. Let the Holy Spirit be your constant guide, and trust in the Lord always.
Weekend prayer: Lord, keep me in the path of honest labour, bless my efforts and help me to share with the poor. Amen!
Have a blessed weekend! Peace be with you!
