“Make Use Of Your Pentecostal Grace…!”
We are surrounded by evil people. We know them because we see them carry out their diabolic schemes. But we are mute. We behave like the goat. When the goat saw the dog barking at what it had seen, it told the dog, “What you have just seen and are barking, I saw it long ago but chose to remain quiet.” And this is our delimna. Evil thrives when good people see and remain quiet; probably because nobody wants to rock the boat in one’s comfort zone!
It shouldn’t be so with those who have received the Holy Spirit and his concomitant gifts. Jesus assured us that we will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on us, so that we can be his witnesses. The Holy Spirit has not given us the spirit of timidity and fear! He has given us power to muster the courage to speak truth to evil and tell them, “…you with the help of wicked men put him to death…”
To the shame of the perpetrators of evil, the innocents are ” handed over to you by God’s set purpose and foreknowledge…”
It does not always end the way we think we have planned it! Just as it happened to Jesus Christ, it does not end in the grave.
God did not abandon Jesus in the grave, neither did he let him to see decay (Acts 2:22-28).
My friend, evil would not be replicated if in the face of structural and political evil we rise up like Peter with pentecostal grace and speak truth to power! As has been said, at the end of the day what hurts is not the pain received from the enemy, but the silence of our friends.
Prayer: Lord Jesus Christ equip me with pentecostal authority to speak truth to structural and political evil. Amen!
