“Worship Christ The King!”(Dan.7:9-14).
Yesterday, we had a graduation ceremony at PS Njenka. We opened the ceremony with the word of God in which Jesus told Pilate that those who are on the side of truth listens to him. We reminded the pupils and parents that a school is a place where we search for truth.
I noticed that the school has a high population of Muslim children.
What this means is that every day, these children receive biblical teaching and Christian prayer.
Scriptures say “at the mention of the name of Jesus, every knee shall bow, and every tongue confess that Jesus is Lord.”
On the other hand, the word “Islam” means total submission to the will of Allah. My Islam teacher told us that if Islam means submission to Allah, all Christians are Islam because Christianity is about obedience and submission to God.
In the apocalyptic book of Daniel, he tells us of a night vision about Christ in which this obedience and submission is implied:
“…In my vision at night I looked, and there before me was one like a son of man, coming with the clouds of heaven. He approached the Ancient of Days and was led into his presence. He was given authority, glory and sovereign power; all nations and peoples of every language worshiped him. His dominion is an everlasting dominion that will not pass away, and his kingdom is one that will never be destroyed.”
Yes, Christ has ascended into heaven and is enthroned to be worshipped by people’s of every language.
This is not a religious claim that challenges other faith claims. It is a statement of faith that acknowledges that there is no other God but the LORD Almighty who is known by other names.
When a good king is on the throne, the people rejoice. The Lord Jesus Christ is the King of Kings enthroned in heaven with control over heaven and earth. Let us rejoice as we strive to be obedient and submissive to the king!
Weekend prayer: We praise and worship you, O Lord, and exalted King, Jesus Christ. Amen!
Have a blessed weekend! Peace be with you!
