“Trust And Obey…!”
The world and the church are like two circles that overlap with an intersection. Those who belong to the kingdom of God are those within the intersection. Some people within the intersection are within the church and some are within the secular world.
Scripture says “For it is not those who hear the law who are righteous in God’s sight, but it is those who obey the law who will be declared righteous.” God in his mercy judges according to the light available to people. Those who have not heard of God’s law will not be condemned for not obeying a law they did not possess.
However, there are certain parameters by which they will be judged. Gentiles who did not have the law, but do by nature things required by the law, thus becoming a law for themselves. They show that the requirements of the law are written on their hearts. Their consciences also bear witness and their thoughts accuse them and even defend them.
These things may not be clear to us now, but “will take place on the day when God will judge men’s secrets through Jesus Christ…”(Rom.2:12-16).
So therefore, as we prepare to receive Christ Jesus do not see him as a mere baby but as the one through whom God will judge your secret. While grace and mercy abounds, bear in mind that God will declare you righteous not because you heard the law, but because you obeyed the law! Therefore, trust and obey!
Prayer: Holy Spirit keep prodding me to obey God’s law and put my faith in Jesus Christ whose blood saves. Amen!
Have a blessed day! Peace be with you!
