“Thy Kingdom Come O LORD…!”(Rev 11:15-19).
We round up this weeks meditations drawing inspiration from the last book of the Bible. We give glory to the Father Almighty who in his mercy has allowed us to be part of this new day. Our father who is in heaven, hallowed be your name, your kingdom come…” These words are on our lips on a daily basis, “
When we pray this prayer our minds are probably concentrated on “give us this day our daily bread and forgive us our trespasses…”
“Your kingdom come” is the expectation of the reign of God. John says of it, “The kingdom of the world has become the kingdom of our Lord and of his Christ, and he will reign for ever and ever.”
The reign of our Lord and his Christ is a reign of justice without partiality. The reign of our Lord and his Christ is a time for judging the dead, and for rewarding his servants the prophets, his saints and those who reverence his name, “both small and great – and for destroying those who destroy the earth.”
As we pray, the “your kingdom come,” let us make ourselves worthy of being among those whom he will reward. These includes the prophets, saints and those who reverence his name. Work out your salvation by not being one of those who destroy the earth.
Prayer: Let your kingdom come O LORD. Holy Spirit be my guide as I prepare for the reign of the LORD and his Christ. Amen!
Have a blessed weekend! Peace be with you!
