“Through The Storms Of Life, God Carries You Close To His Heart!”(Is.40:1-11).
Good friend, let us thank the LORD who has once again shown us his love by bringing us to a new day of fresh opportunities.
“When there is life there is hope” and “hope does not dissappoint.” The journey of life is quite stormy and nobody is exempted. The storms of life may destabilise you or it can make you stronger and more resilient. It all depends on the kind of foundation upon which you build your life. If you are wise the foundation of your life will be built on rock. When the storms of life beat against, you will be unshakeable. But if you are foolish the foundation will be built on sand. When the storms of life beat on it your life will fall apart(Mt.7:25-27).
The storms of life come in many shapes and forms. That is why we all at one time or the other need comfort from somewhere.
In moments of storms we need a shoulder to lean on, in the same way that we should provide shoulders for others to lean on in their moments of storms.
The Great I Am, our Comforter knows our moments of storm and he says, “Comfort, comfort my people…” Your “hard service has been completed” your “sin has been paid for.”
Those who gloat over us during our stormy days are reminded that “all men are like grass, and all their glory is like the flowers of the field… The grass withers and the flowers fall, but the word of our God stands forever.”
Dear friend, I don’t know what storms you may have gone through, I don’t know the storms that are crashing on you now, and both of us do not know the storms that are ahead of you. But I know that the storms will soon be over and you will be standing on that solid rock while the houses on sinking sands are swept away!
Our Sovereign LORD is nearby with his reward with him. He tends us like a shepherd. “He gathers the lamb in his arms and carries them close to his heart.”
Yes, no matter how fiery your storms of life may be, just know that you are well secured because your sin has been paid for and God is carrying you close to his heart.
Prayer of the week: Holy Spirit as the storms of life beat on me, help me to fill the potholes of my life as a response to God’s amazing grace. Amen!
