“Return To The Lord…!”
“Seek the Lord while he may be found; call on him while he is near. Let the wicked forsake his way and the evil man his thoughts. Let him turn to the Lord and he will have mercy on him, and to our God, for he will freely pardon…”
Even good Christians need the above reminders to become better or the best of Christians. Meanwhile the unrepentant needs this so as to return to a merciful God and receive mercy and pardon. God’s grace is so amazingly abundant, such that there is no sin beyond pardon.
While we think that we are standing, God is watching our motives. His thoughts are not our thoughts and our ways are not his ways. His ways are higher than ours and his thoughts than ours.
What God says he will do, he will surely do. He never goes back on his word. He says, “…my word that goes out from my mouth; it will not return to me empty, but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it.”
Those who abide in the word of the Lord “will go out in joy and be led forth in peace”(Is.55:6-12a).
My friend, the bottomline here is to review your life, see where you have derailed and turn back to the Lord who freely pardons in Christ Jesus. Trust in the power of his word and you will go out in joy and be led forth in peace.
Prayer: Lord, let me find joy and peace as your word finds fulfilment in my life. Amen!
Have a blessed day! Peace be with you!
