“Restoration Through Healing!”(Lk.4:38-44).
Dear LORD, at the dawn of a new day we give you thanks for you are good and your love endures forever.
We are going to run through this week on the restoration theme. Yesterday, we mentioned that God’s restoration plan already came into fruition in the Lord Jesus Christ. Ours is to consummate what God has done in Christ.
Christ offers fullness of life – which is the reason for which he came.
He rebukes high fever, and the fever leaves the patient. Jesus lays his hands on people with various kinds of sickness and heals them.
Demons recognise Jesus as the Messiah and shout, ‘You are the Son of God!”
The healing of various kinds of sickness is an essential component in the overall plan of God’s restoration; it is a means to an end. That is why when the people wanted to keep Jesus from leaving them, he told them, “I must proclaim the good news of the kingdom of God to the other towns also, because that is why I was sent.”
Today, some Christian centres of healing highlight the healing at the expense of proclaiming the good news. In some Tele-evangelism, the time spent on showing the healing and the time wasted on testimony presentations rubs the time of proclamation of the good news of the kingdom of God.
Ministers of the gospel can learn from Jesus’ example of home visits that enable them to find sick people and administer to them.
On the other hand, the sick who are healed at home should learn from the example of Simon’s mother-in-law. Once she was healed, she got up at once and began to serve.
From Jesus, we learn the importance of “time with God in a solitary place.”
Most importantly, proclaiming the good news of the kingdom of God remains central to our Christian life. If we apply the example of ponzy scheme downline of bringing two people who each bring two people who each bring two people, see how far we can reach people with the gospel as we remind ourselves of the importance of righteousness and steadfastness!
Dear friend, what is your physical, emotional, psychological, or spiritual defect? Invite the Lord Jesus Christ into that situation and receive your healing IJN!
And when you have been healed, get up and serve.
Secondly, find time to be in a solitary place where you talk with God.
Lastly, do not create any comfort zones because the other towns need you, too.
Prayer of the day and week: Glory be to you Heavenly Father, for unfolding your restoration plan in the Lord Jesus Christ. Amen!
Welcome back to a new working day and week! Have a blessed day and week! Peace be with you!
