“Prepare For Your Eternal Home Today!”
One of the earthly ways by which we are humbled is at the airport. Each person handles his hand luggage as an individual. We often make fun of the Bororo man who took a front seat in a bus and insisted that his walking staff should not be put in the booth. He didn’t want to arrive before his staff. Those who travel business class and those who travel economy are all in the same plane. Funnily enough the economy class passengers pass through the business class section.
John the revelator “saw the dead, great and small, standing before the throne, and books were opened. Another book was opened, which is the book of life. The dead were judged according to what they had done as recorded in the books…each person was judged according to what he had done…If anyone’s name was not found written in the book of life, he was thrown into the lake of fire”(Rev. 20:11-15).
Two things stand out which we want to reflect upon: there will be no class distinction. All the titles, power authority, accolades etc won’t mean anything on that day. Judgment will be based simply on what each person had done. And when the name wasn’t found in the book of life, the one became candidate for the lake of fire.
My friend, no-one can claim perfection, but it is good to make a conscious decision to act in love towards others, because of faith, hope and love which remains, “the greatest is love.” Love is the greatest becsuse it covers a multitude of sins.
This is the season when God’s love was demonstrated at its best! Show some love and be loving in your dealings with others so that your name can enter the book of life!
Have a blessed weekend! Peace be with you!
