“Preach Christ The Power And Wisdom Of God!”
“For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God…the foolishness of God is wiser than men, and the weakness of God is stronger than men” (I Cor. I:18-25).
If you have a keen eye you’ll realise that in every gathering – be it physical or through social media – there are some people who make a mockery of the message of the cross.
Tell them the good news of the cross all the same. Don’t even be surprised that you worship with them in the same denomination or congregation. They belong to certain esoteric fraternities and occultic conclaves. To such persons the Church is a status symbol. It is just like belonging to a social group that has some distinction and makes you look good in society. It can be lifestyle choices that contradicts the gospel. Tell them the goodnews all the same.
Let us keep preaching the crucified Christ. He may be a stumbling block to miracle seekers and foolishness to the wise, but to us who have that deep conviction of faith, “Christ is the power of God and the wisdom of God.”
We have nothing to lose if at the end of it all there is no eternity. But we have everything to lose if we do not believe and at the end of it all it turns out it is true – which of course it is!
Let us not be tired to preach Christ crucified for he is the power of God and the wisdom of God. And while we profess him let us live up to what we believe.
Prayer: Holy Spirit empower me to preach Christ who is the power of God and the wisdom of God and to live what I believe. Amen!
