“O Worship The King, All Glorious Above…!”

“O Worship The King, All Glorious Above…!”(Dan.7:9-14).
“…In my vision at night I looked, and there before me was one like a son of man…He approached the Ancient of Days and was led into his presence. He was given authority, glory and sovereign power; all peoples, nations and men of every nation worshipped him. His dominion is an everlasting dominion that will not passs away, and his kingdom is one that will never be destroyed.”
The above passage is the first reference to the Messiah as the Son of Man. Jesus applied this title to himself. Apart from this, the passage shows the Son of Man as enthroned in heaven with authority, glory and sovereign power.
This authority, glory and sovereign power of Jesus Christ is what we have been reflecting on throughout this week.
Whether you are a Putin, Bonarparte, Hither or Mussolini; whether you are a POTUS, Nebuchadnezzar, Sumanguru or Sundiata, all human rulers are like minions in front of the the exalted Christ. The majority “have been stripped of their authority,” but “allowed to live for a period of time.”
Earthly kingdoms pass away, but the dominion of Jesus Christ will not pass away. And unlike other powerful kingdoms that have been destroyed, the kingdom of Jesus Christ will never be destroyed.
Let it be the joy of all of us to be citizens of such a kingdom. By being citizens of that kingdom we should respect the constitution of that country and obey its requirements.
