“Look To The Lord And Be Saved!”
The first of July met me in the air between Addis Ababa and Nairobi. The beelike busy nature of Addis Ababa Bole International airport tells you how much hundreds of thousands of people are crisscrossing the globe on a daily basis and for various reasons.
At Addis while the connecting plane still stationary and about to steer to the runway, a lady raised an alarm that she heard the smell of something burning. A few people shared the concern, but as the plane steered to the runway and took off nobody said anything. I’m convinced many were like myself praying and commiting our lives to God.
Then came a very turbulent area where the plane shook until… It was like some people should start saying, “If anything should happen then the pilots are to blame.”
I started reflecting within me, “How well have I prepared for such a last day? Have I even taken time to think it can be any time? Have I really given my life to Christ?” Etc. Etc!
Entering my room thousands of miles away from home and opening to Isaiah God says, “Look to me and be saved, all you ends of the earth! For I am God and there is no other…The word has gone out of my mouth in righteousness, and shall not return, that to me every knee shall bow, every tongue shall take an oath…”(45:22-25).
My friend, the time to return to the Lord is now! If you keep procastinating and still going your way, your tomorrow may be too late!
Prayer: Thank you Lord for a new day, in a new week and a new month. Holy Spirit enable me to look to the Lord and be saved. Amen!
Welcome back to work! Have a blessed day and week! Peace be with you!
