“Know Your Limits!”(Job 38:31-38).
Today we continue to reflect on the series of questions God posed to Job; questions that exposes human limitations and ridicule human pride and boastfulness. Humanbeings are mortal, finite, imperfect, and impotent. As such they cannot boast of any knowledge of immortality, infinity, peferction and potency.
We are limited. Paul says we are babies to be fed with milk and not solid food. Whatever we know is like a dim reflection in the mirror.
Like I said before, every admirable architectural structure is a mere copy of the original, and every beautiful work of art is a replica of the original. Originals are in the minds of the conceivers; in the same way that the wisdom that the heart is endowed with and the understanding that the mind has are from God who is the source and beginning of all things. That is why “the fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom.”
Christ is our wisdom. In him we move and have our being. Let us humble ourselves in the presence of the Lord so that we can gain a heart of wisdom.
Prayer: Lord Jesus Christ, endow our hearts with wisdom and our minds with understanding so as to humble us. Amen!
Have a blessed day! Peace be with you!
