“Jesus The Merciful Healer!” (Mt. 17:17-21).
The African continent has become a dumping ground for all kinds of junk. As soon as one of us settles overseas, the next thing we are expecting is for him/her to start shipping cars for us to sell and start making money. These cars don’t come empty. They are filled with all sorts of junk. That is why our homes are over filled with junk.
“Okrika dresses, shoes”are rightly called, buy one, take two!” The end result is that the homes are filled with quantity without quality. Those who have a knack for quantity are instatiable in their wants; but they become full of junk!
Any Christian would tell you, “I have faith! I have faith!” But when it comes to using that faith in manifesting God’s glory, thats when we realise that the content of faith is more of quantity than quality.
We must not be disciples for many years before our faith can get to the level of manifesting God’s glory. “I tell you the truth, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there’ and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you”(Nt.17:17-21). Unfortunately “an “unbelieving and perverse generation” cannot have faith. Faith goes with believing.
Jesus is not saying that we should go about commanding mountains to move. It is a proverbial saying to mean that with little faith we can overcome great difficulties.
Jesus cast out the demon in the boy because the boy’s father had faith in Jesus and Jesus had faith in his Father that whatever he asked, his Father will grant to him.
The man knelt before Jesus and prayed him, “Lord have mercy on my son…”
You see, God has never left us; we are the ones who go away to see the wild side of life. When we come to our senses and return to him, kneel before him and pray, “Lord have mercy on me,” he readily restores us to the glories of kingdom wealth.
All it requires is to have faith as small as a mustard seed for you to be an overcomer.
Prayer: Lord have mercy on me. Give me quality faith and not quantity. Amen!
Have a blessed day! Peace be with you!
