“Jesus Christ Is The Only Super Power…!”
A competition was launched to select the person who mimicked Charlie Chaplin best. Charlie Chaplin disguised and entered the competition and funnily enough he did not win.
Some of the titles we carry today as church leaders and even they way we carry ourselves are very indicative that if Jesus Christ was to appear before us incognito, we will show him a low seat in the pews.
Some of us do not like it when the correction is made that it is “the leader of the church,” and not “head of the church.” Jesus Christ alone “is the head of the body, the church…”
There is a sense in which since from New Testament times up to our present generation some people doubt or undermine the supremacy of Christ over other spiritual beings. Some still hold that Jesus Christ is one among many, that he is just one of the many emanations from God.
It is worst when people who think that way do not keep it to themselves, but teach and force others to believe in their falsehoods!
Truth be told, many are genuinely following God but are going to miss heaven because theg have been overfed with wrong doctrine.
*Any revival/renewal/reformation is not a move to win new souls for the kingdom; rather it is a call to get back and teach the rught doctrine that merits salvation through Jesus Christ.
When wrong doctrine about Jesus Christ was being propagated in the Colossian church, Paul had this correction to make:
*Christ “is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. For by him all things were created; things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things were created by him and for him…in him all things hold together. And he is the head of the body, the church. He is the beginning…so that in everything he might have supremacy. For God was pleased to have all his fullness dwell in him, and through him to reconcile to himself all things, whether things on earth or things in heaven, by making peace through his blood, shed on the cross”* (Col.1:15-20).
My friend, to understand this should lead to innerstanding. The moment you innerstand you become truly humble in the things of the world. You will know that true greatness is not about who is the greatest since there is only one person who is Supreme to all others.
In everything Jesus Christ “have the supremacy!” That is why we sing, “Jesus power, super power” meanwhile all other powers are “yeye power!”
Therefore, let Christ be the solid rock on which you stand because all other ground is sinking sand! Cling unto Christ because if you have him, then you have everything.
Sunday prayer: Lord Jesus Christ your supremacy is uncontested and you are the solid rock on which I stand. Amen!
Have a blessed Sunday! Peace be with you!
