“I Wait For My Saviour In Hope, He Will Hear Me!”
African wisdom states, “When a mother beats a child she pushes the child under the bed.” She does not send the child out of the house where the child would be exposed to unknown danger. The mother’s beating is corrective, it is not vengeful. The beating is equally is demonstration of love and concern for the child.
It is in the same way that God punishes us when we sin. He punishes to correct us. When we know this we would rather laugh at the enemies who gloat over us.
In times of misery look beyond the horizon of the hazy maze of life with hope and confidence to the one whose love and mercy endures forever.
Tomorrow is going to be better than today; so speak it out: “I watch in hope for the Lord, I wait for God my Saviour; my God will hear me…The Lord will be my light. Because I have sinned against him, I will bear the Lord’s wrath, until he pleads my case and establishes my right. He will bring me out into the light; I will see his righteousness ” (Mi. 7:7-9).
The present is easily bearable when we come to that moment of recognition that we derserve what we are passing through because we have sinned.
We however remain confident that our present predicaments are temporary because Jesus Christ will plead our case, establish our right and bring us to light where we see the Lord’s righteousness. Therefore remain hopeful as you wait for the Lord acknowleding that the present troubles is corrective punishment from a just and righteous Father.
Prayer: Lord my Saviour, as I wait for you in hope, hear me, establish my right and bring me into the light. Amen!
Have a blessed day! Peace be with you!
