Text: Rev.22:1-5).
“Then the angel showed me the river of the water of life, as clear as crystal, flowing from the throne of God and of the Lamb down the middle of the great street of the city. On each side of the river stood the tree of life, bearing twelve crops of fruit, yielding its fruit every month. And the leaves of the tree are for the healing of the nations. No longer will there be any curse. The throne of God and of the Lamb will be in the city, and his servants will serve him. They will see his face, and his name will be on their foreheads. There will be no more night. They will not need the light of a lamp or the light of the sun, for the Lord God will give them light. And they will reign for ever and ever.”

Theme: Home, Where We Belong!”
The Christian journey of life is not linear. It is not a journey that begins and moves like a line whose destination is the other end of the line.
The Christian journey of life is a circle. The ending is where it started.
John’s vision above explains this life as a circle. We end in the garden with the tree of life, providing healing for the nations, and no longer will there be any curse. Before Adam and Eve were expelled from the garden of Eden, God laid a curse on them(Gen.3:15). They were expelled so that they should not take and eat of the fruit of life(Gen.3:22).
They were expelled from God’s presence, and since then, no man saw the face of God and lived. But in the journey’s end, God’s throne is right in the midst of the people. “They will see his face, and his name will be written on their foreheads.”
My friend, in this cyclical journey of life, the departure is the wandering away from God’s presence to do as we please. When we are done with our follies and come to our senses, the LORD is there to receive us back home through his Son.
Let us, therefore, walk this journey of life with fear and love of God, trusting that his grace will bring us home where we belong. And there we “will reign for ever and ever.”
Weekend prayer: Holy Spirit guide my steps towards the path of life to the presence of the LORD. Amen!
Have a blessed weekend! Peace be with you!

[Supporting Song 👇🏿]

1 Guide me, O Thou great Jehovah
Pilgrim through this barren land
I am weak, but Thou art mighty
Hold me with Thy powerful hands
Bread of heaven, feed me now and evermore
Bread of heaven, feed me now and evermore.

2 Open now the crystal fountain
Whence the healing waters flow
Let the fiery, cloudy pillar
Lead me all my journey through
Strong Deliverer, be Thou still my Strength and Shield
Strong Deliverer, be Thou still my Strength and Shield

3 When I tread the verge of Jordan
Bid my anxious fears subside
Death of death, and hell’s destruction
Land me safe on Canaan’s side
Songs of praises, I will ever give to Thee
Songs of praises, I will ever give to Thee
