“Hold On Firmly To The Word Of Life!”(Phi.2:14-18).
Dearly beloved, let us give to our God immortal praise, for it is by the wonders of his grace that we have seen a new day. God’s mercies come new to us every day. Hallelujah!
Yesterday, we made an error by using the text of Saturday. We have corrected the error by using the supposed text of yesterday for today.
The pericope is from the broad context where Paul is requesting that Christians should imitate the humility of Christ.
Christians ought to be the difference becoming “blameless and pure children of God without fault in a warped and crooked generation.”
It is the joy and pride of any teacher/parent when s/he sees former students/ the children excelling and positively impacting society. Such a teacher or parent is happy to say, I did not labour in vain!”
Despite our human weaknesses, we make efforts to be the difference and to keep transforming lives to the glory of God.
We should be the difference by doing “everything without grumbling or arguing.” The work of God done in submissive obedience to his will is done with joy. “Whatever your task, work heartily as serving the Lord and not men.”
In the heavenly race
Winning souls for the kingdom of God is lofty. But on that day of Christ, the question may not be, “How many people did you bring to Christ?” The question may be, “How many people did you sustain to remain in Christ by enabling them to “hold firmly to the word of life?”
Dear friend, be the difference as you “become blameless and pure children of God without fault in a warped and crooked generation. Then you will shine among them like stars in the sky as you hold firmly to the word of life.”
Be the difference wherever you are among a warped and crooked generation!
Weekend prayer: Holy Spirit prod us daily to hold on firmly to the word of life. Amen!
Have a blessed weekend! Peace be with you!
