“Great Is Your Faithfulness O Lord!”
Today we join the psalmist to sing the awesomeness of the Lord whose steadfast love never fades and whose mercies endures forever.
What caught my attention in the celebrative psalm is that God has set a boundary that the waters cannot cross such that “never gain will they cover the earth”(Ps.104:1-13).
This reminds us that after the flood, the Lord said in his heart, “Never again will I curse the ground because of man, even though every indication of his heart is evil from childhood. And never again will I destroy all living creatures as I have done…(Gen.8:21).
Yes, that is why he sent Jesus to die and become the Christ for you and I! We need not be afraid of anything again. We rather must revere the Lord and depend on his steadfast love and protection.
Prayer of the week: Awesome God as I begin a new week I glory in your majesty. I am clay in your hands. Mould me into the vessel you want and give me the shape you want. Amen!
